About Alexander

Alexander Norton III, baritone, has appeared with Opera McGill and Vegas City Opera in both contemporary and standard repertoire. He premiered the title role in Dean Burry’s Il giudizio di Pigmalione at McGill University, and performed as G. Summer Wormley in Hodges’s Black Swan Radio Hour with Vegas City Opera. His additional roles include Masetto in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, King Melchior in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Le Second Commissaire in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites. He has also sung scenes as Count Almaviva and Leporello, and appeared as bass soloist in Haydn’s Paukenmesse with St. George’s Choral Society.

A native of Las Vegas, Alexander earned his Master of Music in Opera and Voice from McGill University and his Bachelor of Music from the University of Utah. He specializes in lyrical singing and early music while maintaining an active interest in new North American works.
